Watching

"Watching", 12 x 10, Oil on Museum Board
I went to a painting demo a couple of weeks ago and towards the end, realized I could do more with my camera than far-away shots of the work in progress--my fellow watchers. When I got home and looked at the photos, the expressions of the "watchers" were often enigmatic. This is Susan.

  1. You know, Kathryn... before even reading your post I could tell Susan was intently focused in thought.
You sure know the structure of a face.
I feel the eyes could blink and the lips could move at any moment.

  2. Thank you Julie--I'm actually trying to remember the structure of the face! Haven't done portraits in a long time. Its such a good thing to do in the winter and such a challenge.
